At approximately 325,000sf, Darien High School was completed in 2007 as a cost of $74,300,000. The new school accommodates up to 1,300 9th-12th grade students. The seven separate but connected buildings enclose classrooms and administrative spaces, drama, music and art spaces, an 18,000 square foot auditorium, a new library/media center, physical education and athletic facilities, and state-of-the-art science facilities that include specialized laboratories and a greenhouse.
